RCC Kids Grove

Coming September 7th, 2025!

A colorful flyer for Kids Grove Sunday school classes, featuring hand-drawn style illustrations of plant icons, with text about ages, schedule, and growth themes.

We invite you to join us Sunday mornings in our Kids Grove as we help your little ones grow in God’s love!

Check-in begins 15 minutes before the service, leaving you time to get your kids settled before picking up refreshments at our coffee table and finding a seat for our worship service.

During our Sunday service, we offer two classes where your children can learn, grow, and play in a safe and nurturing environment.

Sprouts:

birth - 24 months (infants & crawlers)

Seedlings:

2 - 4 years (walkers & talkers)

Q: What about my school-aged kids?

A: We love welcoming children into our services. We also know kids make noises, and that doesn’t bother us one bit!

When you arrive, stop by our welcome table where you’ll find an activity for your school-ages kids to enjoy during our service, including coloring supplies and a small snack.

children’s ministry lead

Melissa Boatman leads our Children's Ministry with a deep love for the Lord and a servant's heart. Originally from Tupelo, Mississippi, she moved to Alaska with her family in 2020. She has been married to her husband, Andy, for over 20 years, and they have five children.

Melissa's love for children's ministry began when her own kids were young, and she has been a dedicated volunteer ever since. Her faith in Jesus, which began in the third grade, has been an anchor through both the valleys and mountaintops of life, and she wants to help the little ones in our church family grow that same strong faith. Professionally, Melissa is a SPED teacher in the Mat-Su Valley. When she's not at church or work, you can find her spending time with family and friends, cooking, or enjoying the outdoors and a good board game.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
